How could Applebee's be improved?

Basically, I know that Applebee's is just kind of average. What do you think of the restaurant? What would you do (feasibly) to make it interesting? How would you vary the menu items and food quality?

Well the last time I ate at Applebee's I got a chicken sandwich. It was some type of new sandwich they had on the menu. The sandwich tasted like it had been heated up. I could have eaten a better meal at home. They need to stop using the frozen c**p and only serve items that are fresh. Another thing I hate about Applebee's is that they don't separate the smoking and non smoking sections very well. Last time I ate there I was sitting in non smoking but almost choked to death because I could still smell that nasty cigarette smoke. Hopefully our state will go smoke free soon so I want have to worry about that anymore.

other than the appetizer's and burgers, I think the biggest problem at applebee's quite simply is PRICING..  its way to expensive for what you get..  and they make this big deal about the WW menu but then you get it and the plate is almost empty..  they couldn't throw double the broccoli on there to fill you up?  or make a plain dinner salad or the onion broth a cheap add on to the WW meals?

Change the name, decor, and attitude of the restaurant.  Introduce happy hour and late night specials.  TGIFs isn't much different from Applebee's menu-wise, but it sounds a lot cooler.
