How could I do my senior project on fashion or something realted to it?

I have to do a senior project. (Write a research paper, get 20 hours, work with a mentor - someone who can help you and present the project to a group of judges) I'd love to do mine on fashion. But I don't like live in New York, I live in North Carolina. I'm know there are modeling agencies in the city but that is all I know so far. Any ideas how I could do my project on fashion or anything like that?

Would the modeling agencies not even want to bother with me? lol they can be cruel and I would guess they are really busy.

you could get local designers together and hold a fashion people. sell tickets for it! then see food and drinks inside. All the proceeds should go to a charity or foundation you choose.

i did it for mine and it went GREAT.

do you have any small local shops? you could use them. talk to them about how they find and choose the styles they sell and things like that.

You could do it on Fashions of different cultures. You can talk to civic or dance groups about lending you some costumes and giving you info. We just had a cultural fair at work and people wore different outfits and talked about them. It was really cool.
