I know you can't drive on water, I'm more asking for details about how to get it shipped. For example, what company should I use?

  1. I haven't seen a left hand drive vehicle on the road for years, and I'd guess it's either because every state insists on conversion and/or it's too expensive and more trouble than it's worth.

These people handle shipping of cars from the US to Australia and their website has heaps of other info.

  2. wast and time & money

    cost to ship= thousands

cost to convert to right hand drive & meet all Australian car standards many thousands

be better off getting a car here

  3. ??? There are only 2 ways... Flight or Boat/Fairy.... Did you think you were going to drive it over there or something? o.O

  4. Where from ?  If from Britain then try www.britzinoz.com/info/motoring_import.h...

  5. put it in a container and have it shipped there....cost  several thousand dollars

  6. Unless your car is extra special to you I wouldn't bother. You would need to get hold of a removal firm that would arrange a container . It will cost plenty then when it gets here it has to be checked and modified for Australias standards. My friend bought one from New Zealand  it was such a hassle in the end he said he should've sold it instead of bringing it.
