How could I persuade my Dad?

How could I persuade my dad to let me join another Martial Arts class? I love Martial Arts and have done 3 different Martial Arts: Karate, Muay Thai and Kung Fu but now I would like to either do Capoeira or Freestyle Karate. So how would I persuade my dad? Oh and does anyone know if their are any Freestyle Karate classes or clubs in Scotland? Thanks.

Just ask him... He will most likely say yes... I mean come on its self defense.

Bug him till he says yes!

Accept his decision because he is your father.  If he says no, then you still should have a few decades to make your own decisions after you move out on your own.  You won't die if you have to wait a couple of years.

tell him it's for your own good - you'll be able to defend yourself in case you are one day attacked.

if they say no, just do it anyway.. Thats how i started getting my own way!! unless you need them to pay, then thats another story..

Like I told someone who asked a similar question, you can persuade your parents by waiting until you are 18, grown, working and paying for your own martial arts classes and health insurance.  When you are footing the bills you can take whatever you want.  Until then, you're in HIS house so abide by HIS rules.
