How could I reacreate Leonardo De Vinci's journal?

Any ideas? I already have a plain journal, I just don't know what to put in it and how to make it look old. Help!

The easiest way to make paper look old (good quality bond paper) is to soak it in tea and let it dry on or between towels.

However, if you get a look at Leonardo's journal pages with some kind of scale in the image or measurements given, you will find they are more like drawing paper than a common journal page.

  Also, to look like his journal you will have to write from right to left (backwards) and use a lot of code words.
