Question:

How could a dependent go off of the G.I. Bill or another way from their father's time in the military service?

My dad served for 8 years and he got an honorable discharge and he hasnt gotten back the percentage of medical disability. So I was wondering if there was any way of me getting money from the Army from him.

  1. only if he is 100% disabled.  anything less and you do not qualify for any financial assistance from the military under any circumstances.. unless you enlist yourself.  


  2. Only if your father was 100% disabled could you receive help with education. The GI bill is only used for the service member

  3. You're not going to be able to use any of his GI Bill because it's non-transferable.
