How could an amnesty ever pass if there are conflicting state/local immigration laws?

  1. amnesty has nothing to do with state laws. the federal government grants amnesty, instead of deporting.


  2. There are not conflicting state and local laws.  In fact, the Federal Law is the only law that that that group obeys, when they enforce, and the local and state laws are the laws that group follows.

    They don't do the same things.

  3. It wouldn't work. We need one set of laws and then enforce them that's the only way it will work.
