How could anybody not want to believe in Barack Obama?

Question

Who wouldn't WANT to believe that Barack Obama can solve everything from Iraq to the economy?

I think that he won't be able to solve the majority of the promises that he has staked his campaign on, if elected. But wouldn't it be nice if he could?

I think too many people think Barack Obama is half Superman, half Messiah.

The biggest problem is that Obama has never really staked out what his platform is. I mean "Change" is a great catchphrase, and it helped elect Jimmy Carter. But Carter was one of the worst presidents of the 20th Century.

Has anyone thought to check on the price tag if Obama tried to deliver all his promises. Someone will have to pay for all these new social programs. Your taxes will be raised dramatically. I have no faith in what he is saying he will do. I think McCain has been slightly more realistic in his approach, but I think he has bitten off more than he can chew too.

Don't get caught up in the "Change" frenzy, because you might not like the changes coming.

Liberals do not understand economics.   Raising minimum raise is so dumb.  The whole point of NOT raising it is because the costs of goods WILL go up.  The quality WILL go down.  People will have to work more tasks.   Liberals THINK they are robin hood... take from the rich ( the smart people who actually started companies and give me the opportunity to earn money ).  Liberals never own their own businesses.  If they do like Nancy Peloski, they are just hypocrites.. she is all for the unions, but refusing to use them for HER businesses.  Its ok if a Democrat is rich, but since McCain is a republican he shouldn't be rich... its always a double standard.  Studies show a direct correlation to rise in unemployment with a minimum wage increase.  Those that disagree haven't done their homework.  So Johnny working at McDonald's will have to end up doing 50% or more work since minimum wage goes up and the owner isn't going to hire, he is going to fire!  Forget about free health care, its fascism.  Everyone will be forced to pay for medical insurance through the company they work for, its not free.  Democrats problem the gravy train... its quite funny.  Obama will give trillions to the United Nation and to other countries.  He is a communists, he statements are similar to Karl Marx.  Dems and Libs think Capitalism is all evil..... It is brainwashing...  or a mental disorder to think socialism is the way to go.  A Doctor should get paid the same as a Teacher....  Ever take Gross Anatomy.... 100x times the difficulty of any Education course.  People in Canada come across the border so they do not have to wait a year to have a surgery.  Michael Moore is one fat twisted liar and loser.

I don't believe in his socialistic agenda.  I don't believe in the hype.  I would not vote for him because of his past associations, in particular that he was involved with the racist hate group of Wright's for 20 some years!   That's just a few reasons why I would not want to believe in him!

I’m afraid a campaign of unfulfilled promises is larger than Obama; it’s the environment we have created for anyone working to “Win over” their peers.  How can anyone ever succeed over their opponent taking the stance of realism; who wants to hear someone campaign on the actual changes they can bring forth in a governmental environment divided against itself?  Hope is what our candidates campaign on because reality is just too deadly.

We are sooo tired of what's going on in politics that while Obama may not be the Superman or Messiah, he seems to be very passionate about change in this country.  If ANYTHING we are all now THINKING more about our country our world.  He is bringing attention to very real core issues that have to do with us as a people.  We are in the worst condition economically than we have ever been. The world laughs at us because we are not getting the respect we once did.  

I don't think that Obama is the superman or messiah but his message is bringing more awareness to us all.

That's a great question.  My mother, my friend and my very wise sister all think Obama is "where it's at", yet I just hate to see him or hear him on TV.  So, what gives?  Well, my mother, friend and sister were all there the night the asteroid hit the backyard and I was not...what happened to me?  Why can't I LOVE Obama and be just as brainwashed?  I wanna believe but I have too much sense!  Save me, please!
