  1. on your house phone you can try to push *77. the person calling will hear a message that you do not accept anonymous calls ,they need to unblock their phone # and call back.if you want to cancel that push*87.if that doesn't work call your phone co. and ask about a feature for anonymous call rejection. as for cell phone i'm not sure you might have to change your #.

try*77 if bell is your phone service

  2. Call you service provider and have them set it to where you can block people that try to call you private it will make them enter there phone number or they cannot call you.

  3. um... if u have caller id then dont answer wen it says blocked or private or watever

  4. Get rid of the telephone.

Peoples lived for 10,000 years without them, they survived.

  5. It seems to me you are asking 2 questions here:

    1. How to stop telemarketers from calling, and

    2. How to block anonymous (private) calls

The answer to #1 is the National Do-Not-Call Registry. This will work for both land lines and cell phones,.whether or not the caller displays their telephone number. You can register any phone by calling 1-888-382-1222 or going to www.donotcall.gov (on the web, of course). Both methods give complete instructions. It is illegal for telemarketers to call a registered phone after it has been on the list for 31 days. For more information, go to the web site.

If all you are after is blocking  incoming calls with their number blocked, use the phone company's Anonymous Call Rejection feature; *77 turns it on; *87 turns it off. If your service provider does not support this function, call them and see if their business office or customer service can have it set for you.
