the other day i was in the car with my guy friend.. i like him a bit..

and he told me he likes me ..anywayss...

he brought along his friend...

i was sitting in the back seat and well i was quiet.. cause i didnt no what to say...

they were both like talking about movies.. and saying all the funny lines from the movies... something i knew nothing about ...

so i just like smiled ..laughed.. and his friend (mark) was like why do u laugh at everything??..

i felt really like uncomfortable.. and i dont want to be quiet.. but i dont no what to say ... i need to show my like crush that i can talk and be comfortable around his friends ..how can i do this ?? : )

i have the same fear. It can actually be easy. If you like him and he likes u too, he should be able to listen to you when you're talking. Try talking to him on phone first!

LOL...I think this is just a guy vs. girl thing - guys LOVE memoriszing lines from movies and saying them, girls not so much.

Of course, it's possible his friend was deliberately being a jerk by saying that.

I doubt your crush even noticed. The time will come when their conversation hits a little closer to home for you and you'll have no trouble joining in.

You could make a joke of it to this guy - "sorry i haven't seen any of those hilarious movies you and Mark were talking about. you should heaer me and my girlfriends when we start quoting from Mean Girls."

Like i say, he probably didn't notice.

try and talk to his friend and make a relationship with him then he wont question you when they talk about those things

See if maybe there are more things they are interested in besides the movies.  Find out what kind of music they're into, if they like sports & which ones, maybe there are just more subjects you'd be more familiar w/that you'd be able to join in & be able to have more to comments on what they're talking about.  Make yourself a list of things you're familiar with & see if there are more things that I haven't mentioned.  Maybe see what their favorite classes are in school, which teachers are good, which are not so good.  See what all you can come up with that would be of interest to you.  Right now it's the Olympics, see if they've been following them (of course you have to have been too to be able to converse w/them!)  Once you feel more comfortable around them, the better off you'll be.  Just stay the heck away from politics & religion...lol  See if they're looking forward to going back to school, & which subjects they are more interested in.  Which teachers are the best & what ones can you have more fun in their classes etc.  You will feel lots better as you get to know them better I'm sure of that.  It's just getting past the initial first meeting things you've got to get past.  Once you've got that licked, you'll be fine I'm sure.  See what their favorite TV shows are...stuff like that... Good luck to you, & I'm sure you'll be fine, just give yourself time.  Take care...:)

Start up a conversation with the both of them. Most people are afraid to join in talking because they think there going to say something stupid and there will be an awkward silence. What you say dosnt need to be perfect as long as you just say something. If it helps try to pretend your with your own friends and it might get more comfortable. Just cut loose and talk and enjoy your company and theirs.

Well his friend's remark to you was really rude.  You should have told him, "Well, why are you laughing about those parts in the movie?"  "Because they're funny dork" or something like that.  Just talk to them/him like it's no big deal.  You're not able to be talkitive because you have your mind on you liking your crush.  Just try to not think about that and talk to them like you do your friends (not the girlie talk though).
