Question:

How could i easily gain weight?

I am already very thin. Im 5'6" and currently weigh liek 108 or maybe less. I usually stay between 110-112. I have been goign through a divorce and I get very stressed which causes me to loose weight. I need to gain some quick. What are some things I can do? I eat regular meals and half the time I am pigging out

  1. binging is not a healthy way to gain weight, so don't change your diet just to put on a few kg.

    if you're still eating healthily and maintaining a good active lifestyle then i wouldn't worry about it.. it's only when you start losing or gaining weight through unhealthy means that you need to consider a change.

    as long as you're not feeling the worse because of the loss of weight you should be fine. if you're feeling tired all the time and are experiencing mood swings that you wouldn't normally have then maybe it's a good idea to just see a doctor to be safe. even if it's not serious they can provide you with better advice than anyone on here can :) and they have the solutions as well!

  4. To gain weight, you obviously need to take in more calories than you burn. There are several healthy foods you should add to your diet that add healthy fat and calories:

    - nuts and peanut butter

    -avocado

    -lean meat (chicken, fish, etc)

    -bananas (highest calorie fruit)

    -dried fruits (raisins, cranberries, apricots, etc.)

    -whole milk

    -yogurts/cottage cheese with higher milkfats

    -oils (especially olive oil)

    -ice cream

    If you find it hard to eat more, it may be easier to drink your calories. They sell Boost and Ensure Plus drinks at most supermarkets. Each 8floz bottle has about 350 calories, and plenty of nutrients, plus they come in yummy flavors! If you drink 2 of these a day in addition to regular meals/snacks, you will gain healthy weight fairly quickly.

    But just keep eating healthily and you will be fine.  Even if you are feeling too stressed out, always be sure to have something healthy and nutritious at each meal.  Don't worry. Things will get better for you, i promise.

  7. don't worry about it , once your life gets on track things will go back to normal & you will gain weight, just eat healthy, if you eat lots of junk to gain weight it will only produce other problems down the rd.

  8. it depends on if you are wanting to put fat on aswell if you are you could eat more or less anything or if you are trying to gain weight without fat then eat food with more steadily releasing energy in it like porridge etc......
