How could i find someone?

my dad left when i was younger and ive always wanted to meet him or atleast talk to him all i no is his name is there any way i can find his number or his adress or anything and be posiive its him?

Well if you know his real name and you have a photo of him or you know what he looks like, I would suggest going to the police. I'm pretty sure they can find missing people that aren't really missing. Or at least they could help you figure out where he lives.

do you know what state? if so search the phone book online

I don't think that the police will be able to help you. You might want to think about a Private Investigator. I think that a PI might be able to be more helpful because the police are meant to work on crime and trying to locate someone who left is not a crime. But a PI is supposed to investigate and they might be able to find him.

well if you are serious about this, hiring a PI can do the trick. Otherwise since all you know is his name, and no idea where he lives, if you were to check phone listings for the whole country, you could call every single one that comes under his name but that would take you a LONG time.
