How could i make my spring airsoft gun have a higher fps?

my airsoft gun seems like c**p now, its fps is 260 fps, that's pretty crappy. so i wanted to make its fps higher than 260, can anyone help me think of how i can do that?

I doubt you can. In order to modify it as such would most likely cost more than than the gun is worth. I suppose you could check to see if they offer stiffer springs.

Otherwise the only option would be to buy something else with higher velocity.

depending on the brand you have you will need a bigger spring.  M110 or 120 will get you up in the 300 - 400 range.  If you have a cheap $50 gun it might not be an option.

first off. you shouldnt be wasting your time with a springer. but if you MUST, you can just purchase an upgraded spring and replace it. if you dont know how to do that just look it up on mechbox.com. if you are short on denaro, you can just do it the poormans way and stretch the spring out, but that wont work for long.

seriously, just get a hundred bucks together and get an echo1 g36c or a kwa gas blowback pistol.  use the links i give you in the source.

A skilled gunsmith may be able to install a more powerful spring. If you have noticed a loss of power than that may be indicative of a problem. However, why do you want more power in an airsoft gun? Aren't these guns intended for shooting non-piercing rounds at soft targets? If more power is what you want, then look at a non-airsoft spring rifle which advertise FPS 800 and above.
