  1. There should be a good rapport and harmonious relationship between these two parties to maximize the child's language development...

Here are some ways parents and teachers can do to continue and maximize the child's language abilities:

CHAT. Always have time conversing with a young child about familiar topics throughout the day. Doing so helps him learn new words in context.

ASK QUESTIONS. Include questions during your chats to elicit the child's verbal responses. Occasionally ask open-ended questions that require more than yes-or-no responses. For example, instesd of saying, "Do you like red?" say, "What is your favorite color?"

USE CREATIVE LANGUAGE. Use interesting and imaginative language with the child. Be descriptive, use action verbs, speak in rhymes, and make language fun.

READ. Reading to a child is one of the best ways to enhance his language development. Reading often teaches children vocabulary they wouldn't be exposed to otherwise. As you read story to the child, ask him questions about the story line or the illustrations. Repeat the book as many times the child wants - and as you can stand.

EXPAND. When the child says a word such as milk, repeat the word and expand on it. For example, say, "Would you like some milk?" and "Okay, I'll get you some milk."

It is also important not to model baby talk to a young child.

  2. Teachers and parents communicate through conferences and daily chats. They need to make a plan for the child and both stick to it and let the other know how things are going.

  3. talk with him in that language but make sure that he does not feel that you are trying to do so . he will start speaking in that language fluently slowly that you will be able to observe .

  4. The teachers, parents and students make up the team towards the success of each students' learning.  If one of the team members is less involved it doesn't work.  All need to give 100%.
