A foreigner could easily think that a hot dog was made out of dog and a hamburger was made out of ham.  That people still rode horses because people had mustangs.  They would never know the truth about hotdogs because all remains of hotdogs would be gone.  They might figure out the car name because there might be remains of vehicles.  Some things we may never know because soft stuff totally disappears.
