  1. They could lose some weight for starters. They could also stop taking steroids which make them look so much older than other countries. Or they could enrol at the Alicia Sacramore school for falling off beams and sitting on bum on floor, to learn exactly how not to do it.

  2. Hey Laro,

The USA girl's gymanstic team is fabulous.  If Alicia Sacramone hadn't fallen, there is a good chance the team would have received the gold medal.  However, I believe what the coach said to be true - that she had to wait too long on the floor.  It gave her too much time to get uptight and unnecesarily stressed.  So, given that piece of information, I would say that somehow, the girls should have learned better stress management techniques to prepare for the unexpected which has nothing to do with the actual routine.

The Chinese team is also fabulous.  It is hard to compete on the same level as children who are taken from their homes and families at age 3 to be trained as Olympian champions.  However, if that is what they want to do to receive the status of gold medal champions, then I say that the USA is, in reality, the real winners and no improvement needed.

  3. i think the chinesse girls gymnastics are better  then the u.s. girls gymnastics b/c have you seen alicia  and shawn both fallen and still no gold medals yet. doesnt alicia have a broken leg or something?

  4. theyve no dought done the same routines they did at the olympics PERFECTLY time and time again its all about experience performing at the olympics and in front of huge crowds. its all about stress and nerves and that can only be overcome through experience and competition

  5. maybe by not falling, Alecia.

  6. Not much, its the sour U.S. media that need to improve, and BY not being a bunch sore losers that epitomize the proverb of Sour Grapes.

  7. maybe just relax gain a little more confidence in themselves, they did awesome but they seemed very nervous, of course who could blame them with the media right in their faces, other than that...just shake off the little mistakes and do better next time, remember mistakes are normal because we are all human and reassure themselves that they'll do better next time, keep the momentum going =)

  8. Falls and missteps are not really something that can be predicted or practiced. Those are often the result of nerves or just pure chance.

Have you considered that maybe the reason China won was due to them actually being better - at least in this particular competition.

I know it's tempting to say Alicia cost them the Gold. But when you break down the scores, even if you take away her two big mistakes, the US still wouldn't have beaten China.
