How could you be a fan of....?

I was just thinking to myself, and not to attack anybody, or just be an idiot, but how could you honestly be a fan of kyle busch? He acts like such a doink and is just a jerk. I am posting think unbiasly and please comment, but dont be brutal. Just tell me what you think.

I've no clue because I can't stand him.  You would think someone as successful as he's been would be less greedy than what he is, I mean he basically boo-hooed when carl edwards bumped him to win this past weekend.  C'mon Kyle, seen you use that move before, guess it's different when used on you... Anyway, he was crying cause he got a second place finish - jeez, get a grip kebler elf (that's what my son says he looks like.)  And I don't understand why the one person on here compared him to Jeff Gordon - yes Gordon had some great years, but he wasn't arrogant or irritating like Kyle - Gordon thanks God when he wins, Kyle acts like a smart*** and bows to the crowd condescendingly.  I will be glad when they catch how that team is cheating in cup - it's only a matter of time, they already caught the nationwide teams versions.

How can't you be a fan of Kyle. The talent he's showing is awesome. On the other hand, Jr. hasn't done much in the past couple years (no offense). Just because your opinion is that Kyle's a jerk doesn't mean everyone else thinks the same.

Just like Jeff Gordon when he was first coming up, Gordon was cocky but there is one huge difference, he had maturity. Kyle has every right to be cocky but not to the point where he acts like a kid in school. He just doesn't use common sense. He seems to think that it's just him that wins the races. I have never seen him acknowledge his pit crew, crew chief or anyone but his sponsors. He can drive a car I will give him that but his mouth and his actions need a lot of work. It's ok for him to take another driver out or pull a stupid stunt like he did at Bristol that makes him look bad.  He is a good driver but I am not a fan of his. JMHO.  Bring on the thumbs down.

I think if Kyle Busch was racing in the Nascar of the 60's and 70's, he'd miss alot of races due to the swelling in his face after a real man replaced his teeth with some sportsmanship and common sense!

Because the boy can flat out drive a car.  Some folks dont care how charismatic their driver is in front of a camera, it's what they can accomplish on the track.  So really, Kyle deserves fans, because he's good.  

I'm sure even more folks would like him if he just learned to say

"hey, we had a good race, Carl made a nice move there at the end.  Sucks, we had the best car all night, but the only lap that matters is the final lap.  I'm proud of my guys for giving me the race car and the engine they put in this thing was off the chain.  Time to go back to my Featherlite Hauler and eat some M&M's and drink a Coke. " (wink, smile at the camera and give a thumbs up)  

That's it, that's all it would take.

You are posting this unbiasedly, am, ok if you say so.

I like Kyle Busch, the boy can drive anything on wheels, and he does which therefore gives him a lot of practice and this leads to being really good at driving. He is also not afraid in testing sessions; to speak his mind about things that are wrong with the car that could be altered in order to make it a better car for racing.

Remember you can like a race car driver and not be considered a 'fan.'  I am not a fan of Kyle Busch's attitude at times, but I do like and am impressed with most of  his driving and his absolute no fear of racing.

I am not a fan of his, but he sure makes NASCAR fun to watch since NASCAR is being drilled right into the ground. In fact if it wasn't for Kyle, I probably would have stopped watching after last year.

The majority of the people who like him, only like him because he is winning. Bandwagon fans is all they are. There are a few of course that did like him before. They are true fans, but the rest will just jump on to the next driver down the line who starts winning the majority of races.

Well Im not the ideal person to answer your question, as I am the opposite of a Kyle Busch fan, but just by reading a few of the answers that say his cockness is the result of his winniing all the time...I say that is BULL SH*T in every sense of the word! Richard Petty won 200 races and 7 champonships without being a d**k about it. So that excuse is out the windwo right there. And, this may be the wine talking, but Kyle Busch is the worst loser ever!!! Hes even worse than the boys I playd little league baseball with when I was a little girl!

if you were on Y/A last year like i was you'd have seen that kyle busch didn't have a single fan on here before this year. but boy, now that he's leading the points standings they're coming out of the woodworks now. but not to worry, as soon as he loses the championship they'll all disappear. or rather, they'll change their screen names and claim to be lifelong fans of the next flavor of the month.

Some people obviously don't pay attention if they think Kyle didn't have any fans on here before he started winning. I've been on here since November of 2007, Kyle had a big whopping 4 career wins when I started frequenting this forum. Kathleen O was on here before that. As far as how I could be his fan, well, it's just so much stinkin' fun!!!!!

I am kinda wondering the same thing.  He is a great driver, but his immaturity is out the window.  I was kinda gaining respect for him, but what he did this past saturday ruined that.  He is going to have to do something special for me to gain the respect back.  He is very selfish and has no sportsmanship.  He should have congratulated Carl.  If Kyle was mad because Carl didn't wreck him, maybe next time Carl can wreck Kyle when going for the lead and see how Kyle likes it.  Kyle had no right to call Carl a name for trying to win a nascar race without wrecking Kyle.  Carl could have easily wrecked him if he wanted to.

Kyle is an amazing driver. Yeah, his attitude isn't so hot from time to time and he's a bit cocky; but he's young, he'll become more mature over time. I don't agree with everything he says and/or does but I still support him because he has a lot of talent.

Like someone above me said, I like it when he counts his wins on his fingers and when he takes his bows after he wins a race; I find it a bit amusing. That's the only part of his attitude that I really like - the sarcasm and the boastfulness because I do believe that, as of right now, he has every right to be like that. I mean come on, if you had eight wins in one season, wouldn't you be a little arrogant? I'm sure you would be; everyone would, even if they didn't realize that's how they were acting like at first.

But I also believe if he used his head a little more, and actually thought about things before doing or saying them, a lot more people would like him and probably hold a little more respect for him as well.

To Know It All, I disagree with you. I know plenty of people who have been Kyle Busch fans for years, myself included, though only one of them, besides me, frequents this site. When his winning streak fades, I, at least, will still be here, more than happy to support one of my favorite drivers, just like I was here last season.

Note to Geek Chic: Richard Petty and Kyle Busch are two completely different people. Different people have different personalities. Different people also have different reactions to certain situations. Therefore, Kyle's reaction to winning a bunch races is going to be different than The King's. Seeing that when The King won his career high of thirteen wins in a single season, he was thirty-eight, not twenty-three, and probably was really mature by that age. Case closed.

EDIT:  I agree with srjrfan.  That's all it would take.  Kyle was very gracious and pleasant in his pre-race interview.  I was impressed.  Then he whizzed it all away with his post-race actions.

I am, i've liked him from day 1. It's funny how everyonne hated him months ago especially when he wrecked Jr. Then people started to really like him because he was winning all the time. Now, people were cheering when Carl spun him out.,In MY opinion, i'd pick him over Edwards ANYDAY.  Some people switch drivers all the time. I stick with mine all the way no matter what, sorry.

To each their own. NASCAR would be pretty boring if everybody liked the same driver. It would also be boring if there was no villain or the "good guy" vs. "bad guy" scenario. Kyle Busch has done a world of good for NASCAR this year. This new car stinks. We should all thank him for bringing us drama in what could have otherwise been a very boring season. He lights a fire, sells tickets, and give us all something to discuss each and every week. Love him or hate him, it's hard to deny he has done a world of good for the sport.

My mom loves him because he "backs up his arrogance."  I think he's funny (loved when he counted his wins on his fingers!), and it's easier for me to watch Kyle's jerkiness than Jimmie Johnson's goody-good behavior when he was dominating.  The thing that really annoyed me about JJ was that he hardly even seemed to let himself *enjoy* his wins.

Kyle Busch is a whiny baby who needs someone to beat the c**p out of him every time he opens his stupid dumb mouth.  He doesn't have talent, is not respected in the garage and is a smart a** who thinks he knows it all. His idea of racing is 'wreck the people ahead of you'. Nascar has their nose so far up the crack of Kyle's a** they can't see or think straight.

May God have mercy on all of us and his career be shortened by death or injury.
