Question:

How dangerous is Israel?

My boyfriend just left for Israel today and he'll be there for a month. He's on a religious pilgrimage to Haifa (Baha'i) and I'm really really worried about him.

How dangerous is Haifa? My boyfriend is American (Persian descent), 18 and with a religious group...I'd just like to know realistically and honestly what the likelihood of something happening to him?

Thanks!

  1. He will be safe..but most importantly..he will be blessed by a visit to the most beautiful country on Earth.

  2. He should be ok if he is over 18. Hamas the child killing terrorist group tends to shoot at children. Of course there is still the risk of a random missile from this child terror murder gang but generally its the schools, kindergardens mostly at risk.

  3. Haifa is a city of some 270,000 residents, in 2006 Hezbollah fired rockets indiscriminately and at times deliberately at civilian areas in northern Israel occasionally hitting Haifa too.

    That ended in 2006.

Haifa isn't the best known city in Israel, but it is the third largest city, it's built on and around Mount Carmel, it also touts one of the most beautiful sites that Israel has to offer - the Bahai Temple and Gardens.

HAIFA IS A VERY SAFE CITY.

  4. I wouldn't dare to set foot on israel!

I am not crazy you know.

The jews are giving a very hard time to those poor Palestinians, so these people have to react somehow.

That's why we see so many kamazee Arabs, exploding inside israel.

I hope your boyfriend will be smart and avoid large crowds like tourist groups or popular tourist - religious places.

If he does that I think he will be fine, but it is better to wait and see how he looks when he'll be back.

    bye bye

  5. The chances are very slim.  Less likely than getting hit by a car in America or Israel.

But there are indeed people (Muslims) who would like to destroy Israel.  Fortunately, we have the world's best military, and we have G-d on our side.

So I suggest that you not worry about this young man.  And also that you ignore the anti-Israel and anti-Semitic answers here.

  6. Realistically, he might slam his finger in a taxi door. Haifa is not very dangerous at all. (And there are Baha'i guides who help the Baha'i who make the pilgrimage, they make themselves very available.) My grandparents live in Haifa, I was just there.

  7. he has more chance of being harmed in most american cities than in israel, especially haifa where jews, arabs and others have lived relatively peacefully for a long time.

  8. Please don't worry.  He will be fine!  The Baha'i temple in Haifa is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen.  The gardens around it are breathtaking.  He will have a lovely time and he will return to you and he will tell you that his spiritual experience was amazing.

    EDIT: Hi bluenecklace,

I was waiting for comments like the ones from Stainless Steel, Qazy Wabit, Beautiful Sunset and Crystal clear before writing again.  They are angry Muslims posing as people from other countries who have so much hatred and anti Semitism in their evil hearts that it has become a ravaging cancer.  Let them write whatever lies they want.  It all stems from Jealousy.  They cannot fathom the idea that Israel exists.  They post hate answers here all day long.  They are working against themselves because every time they use their computer with an Intel microchip in it, and every time they use Windows, Windows XP , Vista or Google, Israel makes money because all of those were invented and are patented in Israel.

Like I have written before, your boyfriend will have a great time and all the airport stories they wrote about are only applicable for people who have negative intentions, not for people who come to Israel to enjoy one of her many spiritual sights.

Rest assured with what I write - your boyfriend will be safe and he will enjoy his visit.  I am sure this will not be the first time his group has made this journey.

    Sincerely,

    Ms. Miche ; })

  9. I asked my husband your question since he knows more about these things. He said he doesnt think it's so bad. He said things are overblown by the press.

  10. I dunno girl,

You see your boy is going straight inside the wolf's den.

Haifa is a very popular attack target for the Palestinian militants.

So many attacks in the past!

Personally I think that this was a very bad idea, rite from the beginning.

Some answers here are from israeli jews working in tourism bureaus and don't reflect reality.

The real danger though will be from the jews thinking they own that land and that God gave them a license to kill anyone they don't like their faces.

I'll pray for your friend's safe return to the free world, if that's any consolation to you.

Be strong and always hope for the best.

  11. .......its dangerous everywhere......need not to worry esp. he's been active in religious activities......he'll be safe for sure.....

  12. It's a war zone. I am a little worried for your boyfriend's safety. If he is not a Jew, expect that he will be treated differently at the airport. They even conduct strip searches. I would never let my boyfriend in Occupied Palestine. Did you hear about the 13 year old school girl shot 17 times at close range by the Jews?

  13. He should be fine. Haifa is a beautiful city and the Bahai temple is gorgeous (though I've only seen it from afar).
