  1. i think hockey is the most dangerous sport there is, just the players are ten times tougher then any other sport, so id dosent seem like it as dangerous as it is.

  2. i play hockey and its actually not that dangerous if you play it right. i mean yah sure a lot of people get hurt playing it but plenty more are never injured their entire career. and yes it is very entertaining so dont get discouraged and just try to make him feel good.

  3. Of course it carries risk, but so do all sports, and there are rules and padding and whatnot to really minimize that risk as much as pissible.

Aside from the obvious, which I wont touch cause you seem like a fairly new couple, I like the suggestion about renting him a bunch of hockey movies. And food, guys love food.

  4. summer hockey?  cooool

Hockey is certainly more injury-prone (dangerous) than most sports.

  5. If he plays weak shouldnt be scared but if hes hardcore rep he will prob get hurt but nothing big!:P

  6. you can break any bone in your body. & think about this: goalies used to play the game without wearing a mask!

  7. Any sport that encourages the brawls that hockey does, only appeals to bloodthirsty creeps.

  8. How dangerous is it? People get paralyzed from it sometimes,  all sorts of bones are broken, and lot's of blood is spilled. I played for 6 and a half years, and while I played, I had my collarbone snapped in half, fractured my left shin, had teeth knocked out, and almost broke my nose in a bloody fist fight I was in. Also, I have seen a guy's foot almost get sliced off when someone accidentally stepped on his foot with a skate, seen people get stitches in the head from sticks hitting them there, all sorts of nasty injuries.

Haley - Us kids idolize Fidel Castro.

Haley - I'm serious, Castro is cool!

  9. It's pretty dangerous, but players wear a lot of equipment so injuries are rarely extremely serious. It is basically on par with (American/Canadian) Football dangerwise with the added problem of sharp objects on the feet. Don't worry though, he'll be fine, i've had plenty of injuries more serious than that and I've lived to tell about it...

To cheer him up go rent him some of the Don Cherry "Rock'em Sock'em Hockey" Videos, you could also pick up "Youngblood", "Slap Shot", "Miracle", and "Mystery Alaska" (All very solid hockey movies.)

**Freckles- "Food"....You know us soo well.

**Homes- Is it bad my mind went straight to the gutter too?

  10. To answer your question about the dangers of hockey.

This sport is one of the most civilized yet at times it can be gruesome. If your Boyfriend is a hardworking and respectful guy on the ice then all he has to do is keep his head up and watch what is going on around him.

If he is a sh.ithead then he will have a short career. Hockey is unlike any other sport. If you talk smack here then it will catch up to you. You learn to be respectful towards the other team and you will notice that karma will catch up with you. Granted, there are douches who will try to take out talented players but that is what "enforcers" are for.

If he is only out for 6 weeks after tearing a ligament consider yourself lucky. Just make sure to cook for him and sexxorz him every day until he is better.

  11. That is by far the longest question I have ever seen on here.

Hockey is not dangerous...now just be thankful you're not dating one of them chess club guys...there always getting injured hitting that timer.

Now....to make him happy for 6 weeks (thoughts in my brain *be a good girl Haley*).....I would say just hang out with him a lot, and play video games, drink Kool-Aid, and whatever in the heck you kids do these days.

Heavy:  Lay off the painkillers, man.  I know you don't like Fidel.  You would still be in the waiting room right now, if you were in Cuba.  lol.
