How deep is the aquifer in the dessert?

If the dessert is pie or ice cream, there is no aquifer, no matter how deep you go.

If you mean the desert, then the depth to the aquifer depends on where you are.  In some cases, like a dry stream bed, you can find water a few feet below the surface.  In other places you might drill a well 200-1000 ft below the surface and still not find water.
