How dependable and repairable (cost and part availabilty) is a 1992 Mercury Cougar?

Is it worth 3000$ if in good condition with 77k?

77k is low miles for a car that old.  Ford products are known to have had problems around the late eighties and early nineties though. I'd go with someone with a more reliable reputation, like a Toyota.

Not dependable, I wouldn't pay that much for an 18 year old car. Maybe 1500 tops. As far as parts availability if you decide to buy it, parts are readily available. I'd shop around other cars, good luck.

No,it is also a gas hog.Worth maybe 2,000-$2500 tops. It is a 16 year old car and not a very good car when new.
