I had been sailing for last 10 yers as an officer in mer navy..so i guess i can give u some insite...

You check up jobships.com and send ur CV to all companies, most good companies do advertise in news papers...u dont have to wait for that, you can get their postal or mail id and send ur CV with a snap and ur certificate copy.You should be ready to bear the initial pre-sea training cost, this may be few lakhs...i thik its around 1.5lacs..not sure though...each year SCI also takes  cadets u can apply thier and write their exam. Idea here is keep apllying to different companies and u will surely get in. But my advice is pls dont do presea course b4 getting into a company..and beware of touts and frauds...good luck..C/O..
