*69, as the way to call back numbers is so well known, and hardly ever used, but folks continue to forget/not understand the functionality of *82. What's that, you have no idea what I'm talking about? See what I mean?
*82, dialed before a phone number, unblocks your blocked number, and has no effect on the dialing of the number if you do not block your number in the first place. Hardly anyone who calls me thinks about doing this, and any blocked number to my cell phone, for instance, comes through as blocked.
Why did the whole *82 dialing function get swept under the carpet and forgotten, in the phone company's big marketing campaign?
