How did Captain James Cook die?

Captain James Cook, was stabbed to death on his last voyage to Hawaii, as his visit to Hawaii was not welcomed by the locals, as they resented foreign interferance in their territory. Cook's body was taken by the Hawaiian tribes, and was given proper funeral, his body was disembowelled, and bones were kept,  as the icon of a great religious figure. He lived a tempestous life and met an unusual death.
