When did Charlie Sheen get affected with HIV? It has come to the worlds attention that The resident Hollywood bad boy Charlie Sheen has HIV.

When you have something like this, it takes guts to come out and tell the world. A news like this does more to combat HIV than all the flyers in our local council.  It tells you, anyone can get HIV and when you have it, you have very limited options.   On Tuesday morning, the world heard from today show when Charlie Sheen sat down with Matt Lauer this shocking secret.

“I am, in fact, HIV positive,” he confessed right out the gate.

For a person with an HIV  he looked healthy and relieved.  He actually kept the secret for four long years and finally decided to come out and tell the world.

“I have to put a stop to this barrage of attacks and sub-truths and very harmful and mercurial stories that are about me that threaten the health of so many others,“ he said. ”[It] couldn’t be farther from the truth.“

Sheen who is now 50 years old, went to see the doctor because he had horrible series of headaches which lead him to a series of tests and, ultimately, his diagnosis. “I thought I had a brain tumor. I thought it was over,” he said. “It’s a hard three letters to absorb. It’s a turning point in one’s life.”

This news would distroy anyone and he is no different, it could have been the cause of

his public meltdown that led to him being kicked off Two and a Half Men, though Sheen insisted that whole mess was due to a “‘roid rage” more than anything else. It was also shortly after his marriage to Brooke Mueller ended, and Sheen said he immediately reached out to her to be tested.

A story like this can not be kept a secret for 4 long years unless money was invovled and infact he confessed that he’s been paying people to keep his secret, and the “shakedowns” have been adding up, now “enough to bring it into the millions,” he said. “What people forget is that’s money that they’re taking from my children. I’ve got five kids and a granddaughter, you know?”

it is a sad news but does bring the issue of HIV to public and it says, no one is immune to it.  The question still remains, how did he get HIV?
