How did Darcy get introduced to the Degrassi cast?

Was Darcy an original cast member? I don't think so but, if she's wasn't then how was she introduced? Like, just a new kid? Or someones friends. Anything please (:

Darcy wasn't an original cast member. She was just introduced as a new kid. Its in the episode where spinner and his band play at a car wash for manny's fundraiser or something. Im sorry I forgot what that episode was called. Hope it helps =]] I am obsessed witt degrassi!! its my favorite show <333

she makes her 1st appesrance as a 9th grader in "Any where I lay my head" Spinner Mason refers to her as the new girl in which she replies that she prefers being called Darcy.Want to know more search for Darcy Edwards.

I know shes not an original for sure, but im not sure how she got into degrassi, but isnt she doing the new 90210 now?
