  2. If in two dimensions, with the face in profile, but the eye looking straight at you. The shoulders were generally placed as if the person was looking at you, but their legs as if they were walking the same direction they were looking in.

  5. They weren't trying to make an image but a symbol. An icon like the stick figures we use on the um....powder room.(Europe and US use different words)
