How did Elizabeth 1st take over Mary the 1st?

  2. Simply that Elizabeth was next in line of sucession to the Throne. When Her elder sister Queen Mary died of natural causes, Elizabeth become Queen.

    Mary almost had her sister, Elizabeth put to death, but in the end did not.

  4. Mary died - but during her time as Queen she had Elizabeth locked up in a castle (can't remember which) as she was both Protestant AND a threat to the crown. Anyway, they came and alerted Lizzy and took her back to London.
