  1. The last absolute monarch was James II. He was removed in the Glorious Revolution. When the Monarchy was reinstated the Constitutional Monarchy was created, the soverign's powers have since gradually eroded with the last Monarch to exercise formal powers being Queen Victoria.

  3. There were many stages of development. The Magna Carter was a major event, the first real curtailing of Royal power, whilst the establishment of Parliament, the Civil War and the Glorious Revolution replacement of James II with the rightful William of Orange continued it. William wasn't as much involved in politics and signed away many powers. The Bill of Rights was important too.

    George III tried to claw some power back, but by then it was too late.
