Eric Clapton is still alive, hes currently touring in England and about to tour in Germany in August. You might be confused with his son Conor Clapton who died after falling out of a window (53 stories high) in New York.

Are you talking about his son Conor? He fell out of a high rise apartment window when he was only four and a half years old and fell 49 stories to his death. He landed on top of a four story building next door. People inside the building heard the crash and thought an air conditioner had fallen on the roof. They went upstairs to invesigate and found a little boy lying there. Some thought he was a doll because it all looked so unreal.

mum, it was a skyrise...there was a window being replaced in another room, someone left a door open, and he ran straight out the window :-(
