How did Hephaestus became the husband of Aphrodite?

Hephaestus, in Greek mythology is said to be the ugliest of all the gods, in fact he was thrown away form olympus when he was born, right? Now how did he become the husband of the goddes of sexxxual looove and beauty Aphrodite? well i can't blame her if he finds her with the macho-macho murderous god of war, Ares in bed huh.

some say that hephaestus tied hera to her trone that he made and force her to make Aphrodite another go's that zeus was afraid that aphrodite beauty will cause trouble with the rest of the gods so since hephaetus didn't have a wife  zeus him aphrodite

There are three different stories (that I have read):

1) Hephaestus made a deal with Zeus: If he made Zeus lightening bolts he could have Aphrodite as his wife.

2) Hera threw Hephaestus from the heavens at birth because she thought he was ugly and deformed. When he was older he made a magical throne that trapped her and would eventually burn and/or killl her. He demanded that she let him marry Aphrodite. Hera, in turn, gave in.

3) When Aphrodite came to Olympus all the male gods wanted to marry/ have s*x with her. Zeus gave her to Hephaestus to prevent violence from breaking out.

When she came up to Olympus, all the male gods wanted to marry her. Zeus didnt want any violence to happen between the gods so he married her to Hephaestus.
