it still doesn't make sense to me.

yes he was killed or whatever, so does that mean that before he was killed people automatically went to h**l because they weren't forgiven?

  1. It means that God and Jesus are Fake! Atheist4Lyfe Homie

  2. Before the death and resurrection of Jesus those whose sins were covered (through animal sacrifices made at the temple) went to Abraham's bossom, which was in a part of h**l.  Jesus went and took them to Paradise.

Jesus displayed true love to us all through His sacrifice.  True love is coming to earth, being beaten and battered almost to death, made to carry your own cross down crowded streets while people spit at you and pull your beard out by the handfulls, then being stripped naked and being nailed to a cross to die in complete and total humiliation and shame in front of hundreds, if not thousands, while the crowd mock and taunt you.  To feel the pain of seperation as your Father turns His face from you as you take on the sins of the world.  Then after three days of being dead you defeat death and resurrect.  All so people can have the freedom to deny you.  To act and live as though you never lived, let alone made any difference at all.  That is true love.  That is what Jesus did for us all so that we would choose Him to fill our void.

You see, Jesus wasn't killed, he gave his life.  Huge difference.  Because of this sins no longer are covered (as stated in 1st paragraph), but washed away through Jesus' blood sacrifice of His life for all who will accept it.  Jeus paid the price of sin so we wouldn't have to.

  3. no it doesn't the ppl b4 Christ has the levite priests to tell them what to do but when Christ died he went literally to h**l and offered salvation to all and many overcame and went with Him then to heaven it is biblical b4 Christ sacrifices were made for atonement sacrifices such as oxen and rams and the like but when Christ cane He became the sacrifice for 1 and all time God dent Christ here to demonstrate a few things

1 man can live without sin

2God has such love for us He allowed His only BEGOTTEN son to die in a horrible fashion so that we could receive salvation for u Christ was beaten his limbs were pulled from socket he died

3 on the third day in the tomb Christ rose from the dead He said oh death where is thy sting now in other words why fear the flesh death I was dead and now here i am look of my side see the nail holes in me u saw me die u saw me buried yet here i am right in front of u I am the way the truth and the life follow me and My Father and the same will happen to u u will die and yet u will live forever

but people went where they went according to God's decision but when Christ died as i said He went to h**l itself (not lake of fire h**l but targus the black gulf h**l) and ministered to all so that any whom would could come with him to heaven

  4. Dont invest too much thought in fairy tales.

  5. For Bush's sins mostly.

  6. He dies in a cross to prove how much he loves and forgives us. In the Old Testament in the Bible, the people who were asking forgiveness was forgiven by sacrificing lambs.

  7. ^ in response to the silly copy cat claims of above http://www.tektonics.org/copycat/

(things liek this and zeitgeist are not based on facts (even atheist scholars disagree, just a simple search of Wikipedia shows they are bad and nonintellectual arguments)

i think anyone looking forward to the messiah and living with faith in God would of been saved, because Jesus sacrifice transcends time (i'll try and find the verse for that later, in the epistles somewhere).

    Jesus says Abraham was:

    John 8:56-59

[Jesus said:] 56Your father Abraham rejoiced at the thought of seeing my day; he saw it and was glad."

57"You are not yet fifty years old," the Jews said to him, "and you have seen Abraham!"

58"I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "before Abraham was born, I am!" 59At this, they picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus hid himself, slipping away from the temple grounds.

(all throguh the old testament you see glimpses of God's promised messiah as well direct references to him, eg. Isaiah 53 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?sea... )

1 Peter 1:20He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake.

God is a God of mercy but also

God is a God for justice so He must punish sin.

God loves mankind, but mankind has really messed up and done alot of bad things so under the law of God's justice they deserve to be punished.

However God loves mankind still even though they have sinned.

So Jesus comes to earth from heaven, and chooses to take on flesh and because Jesus has never sinned and is perfect, He chooses to take the punishment for sin of all mankind on himself on the cross.

So all the separation and wrath of God we rightfully deserve was poured on Jesus.

Justice and mercy meet perfectly , as the price of sin is paid (Jesus paid it) and we are show mercy because of what Jesus did.

Its like we built up mass amounts of debt and Jesus paid the fine in himself.

  8. No. Jesus' shed blood covers the sins of those who looked forward to the coming of the saviour. The coming of the saviour was told to Adam and Eve, so all people have known about it. All cultures have some thread of the prophesy running in their ancient folklore.

  9. We owe God our life, God pays it for us, we accept his payment on our behalf. Simple.

  10. The Christian cult makes no sense.

You have an all powerful God, supposedly "ALL POWERFUL", but the only way he could forgive us , the only way he could enable himself to forgive, was trough a human blood sacrifice.

He became human, had himself killed to overrule his own rule that wage of sins is death. Why if he is all powerful, all forgiving, he has to kill himself -son in a blood sacrifice to enable himself to forgive?

    IT IS UTTER INSANITY.
