How did James die in Twilight?

not by who but HOW did he get killed? i know that Jasper and Emmett "took care of him" but exactly how did they do it? thanks!

  1. They most likely ripped him to shreds, since a vampire is basically immortal, their bodies need to be destroyed completely.  


  2. Emmett and Jasper took him to a separate room and all we know, they ripped him into pieces and burned them; that's the only way to kill a vampire

  3. Edward killed James. They don't really tell you in Twilight.
