  1. I'll be interested to know the answer to that question, normally you sweat off your fluids on the pitch as for the 'other' you can hold on to that for 45 mins.


  2. My guess is that it refers to the founder of the modern flush system, a certain John Harrington, who was later knighted.

    But my research into this, also revealed that a certain John Douglas of Cincinnati, manufactured toilets for a large portion of the American market, and had his name embossed on the bowls.

    As such, it became a slang for using the the 'John'

  4. it comes from the inventor....john crapper...its also how c**p got to be used to mean p**p

    i usually go after warm up when we get back to the locker room.  and then i go again at half time.   usuallyy no one has to go b/c of all the sweating it is hard to stay hydrated.

  5. While I have had some great friends with that moniker in my lifetime, the same cannot be said for any I've met lately.  One is  a place for the storage and disposal of excrement, while the other may be the same.
