I have heard that he overdoesed on coke and they were trying to blame it on a car accident. How stupid do we look. I just really want to let people know that i'm sorry for your loss. He was a really nice,sweet guy. I hope that this will let people know that everything that we do we have a consequence waiting to bite you in the *** right around the corner.

Wait for the police/autopsy report.  It will be able to tell if this was a suicde or homicide.

I didn't know Justin but I know a lot of his friends.

The police are currently investigating. If you want to know for sure what happened talk to the **b**l brothers.

Edit: SInce someone else used a name, I will too. Eric Isbell was there too. I am not sure about his brother. Apparently they were doing some illegal things. There is speculation that one of the others who were there shot him. Has anyone else heard this?

When i first heard that justin monaco has died i was in disbelief. justin is just not the person to do that to himself i was just so puzzled. when i heard the story that was surfacing about how he was playing around with the gun and then the gun went off and he thought he shot eric and so eric passed out of shock so then he went to the patio and just shot himself. but wouldnt he have checked on eric to see if he was okay first? it just doesnt make sense. i heard 2 stories from the two out of four that were there and they just did not make sense to me. i read in the article on the news and observer that they recovered a .38 calibur revolver bullet but said that justin shot with a .357 magnum revolver. so there were two guns now? a neighbor actually heard screaming from upstairs early that morning so he went to go check it out and saw one of the person screaming and crying outside of the apartment which made him call the police. this story just needs to be solved as soon as possible and i believe that something is not right and the truth has yet to come out.

jacob's story is not true.

the reason why there were so many rumors about what happened to justin is mostly because the people who were there (5 total- including justin) told different stories to different people at first. from my conversation with someone who was there, i heard a very different sequence of events. however, the people who heard the story from a different source heard something different, and therefore a lot of rumours were started because there were atleast two different stories.

personally, i believe there is a coverup involved.

the news stories online say that there were only 4 people including justin in the apartment. this is significant because the person they leave out happens to be the person who claims to have been the one shot at. this is a major detail that BOTH sources seem to have left out. this is probably because the police don't even know that this person was there. the article in the news and observer states that it was the neighbor who called the police and not the people in the apartment.

i am in no way trying to disrespect anyone, but here are the questions i have.

WHY is eric's name not in the news reports?

WHY would justin have a gun in the first place?

WHERE did he get it from?

WHY are the stories surrounding his death so different? you would think that if you all witnessed the same thing, you would all have the same story.

A gun he was handling accidentally fired and came close to hitting another kid. The kid passed out from shock I believe. Justin thought he was dead and because of his criminal record decided to end his own life. The other kid is fine from what we know. There is a basic synopsis. I'm sure more details will come about but that is what we have so far and that's what all the students have heard anyway.

CARY - Police are investigating the possibility that a Cary teen killed himself because he thought he had accidentally shot a friend moments before.

Justin Armond Monaco, 18, and three friends were in his apartment early Wednesday morning when he started firing a Rossi revolver, said Cary police Capt. Dave Wulff. He didn't hit anybody, Wulff said, but may have thought he did.

Monaco, a student at Wake Technical Community College, was taken to WakeMed in Cary, where he was pronounced dead from a gunshot wound to the head, Wulff said.

Police have not ruled Monaco's death a suicide as they await autopsy reports from the state medical examiner's office in Chapel Hill.

Monaco graduated last year from Green Hope High School. An obituary in today's print edition of The News & Observer described him as an avid lacrosse player and recipient of the football team's Defensive Player of the Year award.

"It's a tragedy," Wulff said this afternoon.
