I was wondering how the Earth was repopulated after the great flood. If noah and his family were the only ones left did they have s*x with each other? Are we all related to Noah and his family? Did they inbreed?

  1. Simple Answer: It did not happen

Answer You Will Get From Liberal Christians: it's a metaphore

Answer You Will Get From Fundies: You cannot question god

  2. First you have to be over 18 years to be here. If so.

    The answer is:

    Making babies.

  3. he sons brought wives, and then their children did inbreed

wooo cousins gone wild, hot cousin on cousin s*x

  4. The sons of Noah and their wives had children the children married their brother or sisters until the world was populated

  5. Noah had three sons, and they all had wives !

There is no mention in the Bible that Noah had more children, But

the flood was about 4,500 years ago, and at 40 years per generation that 112.5 generations. Simple mathematics 2 per generation for 112 generations equals 5.2e+33 per son !

    Todays population is only 4.5e+9

Yes we are all related to Noah - what is the problem ?

  6. No, No, No. The flood only covered a small part of the world. Like, a quarter of what is now Iraq, I think.

  7. Although I'm sure he had s*x with plenty of sheep while on board, to procreate I guess he and his family must have gone at it like rabbits to repopulate the planet.

  8. Yes they would have had to marry brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews etc.

One must keep in mind that in the early years of the human race there were no genetic defects that had yet developed as a result of the fall of man. By the time of Abraham, God had not yet declared this kind of marriage to be contrary to His will (see Genesis 20:12). Laws governing incest apparently did not become enacted until the time of Moses (Lev 18:7-17; 20:11,12,14,17,20,21). Hence, there was no prohibition regarding marrying a sister (or niece or grandniece)

  9. Yet another illogical part of the bible.

  10. Boy, it must have sucked to be a woman back then.

  11. They used an ancient Judaic method called 'boinking'. And yes, it was 'family togetherness time'. If not then we'd have a world populated by animal people like Dr. Moreau's island.

  12. If you read the story in it's original language, the story says "land", not "world", an easy translation error.  The land was flooded, he did build a boat, and he and his daughters and sons repopulated that particular area in the same way we do it today.

  13. Noah and his three sons all had wives. Look in some corners of the world today and do the math.

  14. LMAO at the ignorant fundamentalists. At least one guy tried to take into account the genetic risks that are inherent in inbreeding. Does this mean the bible says it's ok to have s*x and breed with members of your immediate family? That might go some way to explaining the demographic of the bible belt in the US.
