  1. so he attended a church with a pastor that likes to run his mouth, big deal. what about those that attend a church that had a 1,000 stint as the greatest violator of human rights on the planet? from persecution of the Jews to the Inquisition to siding with Hitler in WWII? For those of you who are unaware, that's the Catholic church, at least Obama is a Christian.

  2. No I don't!

  3. He only was there because it was an investment property.

  4. He clearly lied. He said at first he never heard it while he was in the pews but then later "changed" and said that he heard it but didn't like it. It took him much later to publicly say that the pastor was wrong.

  5. Your Christian forgiveness is astonishing.  How do you walk on water?

  6. I think he said he didnt hear any of that bad stuff even though he apoligized and left the church.

  7. Well I for one can understand where he is coming from, because I grew up in a church I spent over half my life there from age 6 to 18, and, sometimes in churches certain pastors have a way of making their members feel as if they try to leave or don't follow what they are teaching they are wrong and are going to h**l, and because this is all you know it may not come across to you that they are not all the way right until someone else points it out and makes you think about it, it is hard to walk away from a spiritual adviser that you are practically raised under I know,f rom experience, but at the end of the day we have to realize that these men of God are in fact men first, and not God, so I think he made a decision that was best for his family and his eyes were opened to the type of man he was truly under. I think he made the right decision, and I support him, because I have been in that position, you have to make certain changes at certain times in your life, its no different than walking away from an abusive marriage after 20 years, if you have been some place long enough you get comfortable weather its good or bad for you, but at some point you have to make change. A good leader makes change, and stands behind it.  I can honestly say the only thing I feel McCain will change is the name on the same old policies, and laws from Bush to McCain.

  8. He slept during the message and had no idea it was a hotbed of Separatist Racist ideology

  9. It's only a divisive church in your eyes because the media spoon-fed you a distorted caricature of TUCC and Rev. Wright.  Trinity is a source of great charity and good will in the south-side of Chicago and it is there where Barack Obama found Christ.

I don't like saying the media is to blame but seriously they crossed the line, just like when they kept going on and on about  Don Imus's comment.

  10. Give it a rest already. We are past that. If you don't like him, don't vote for him and shut up.

  11. He said he never heard Rev. Wright make those statements.   Yeah right.....if you believe that, I've got a bridge to sell you.

He either went to the church for 20 years and knew what Rev. Wright was all about (and agreed with him), or he was using the "Afro-Centric" church for political purposes and never attended any services.

    Either way......he's a fraud.

  12. Oh, sure. It's entirely possible to go to church without hearing a word--I went to Catholic elementary school for years and usually spent mass trying to spot the toupees or find dirty words in the Bible, like "fornicate" and "Nebuchadnezzar"

  13. Rev Wright isn't that bad

the real question is how can people rationalize seeing jerry falwell, pat robertson, or any evangelical priest.

    good thing falwell died

  14. BIG YAWN.

Trinity Church has a very prominent position in that community and has been a positive influence for 30 years.

You know why this lame story died? Because it's lame.

  15. I see no reason for him to need to rationalize it. You ever hear James Dobson or any of his folk speak. Now there is some hate.

  16. If he didn't go to church, you would call him an atheist...if he chose Hilary for his VP, you would have problems with that.

Find positive productive ways of using your short time on this earth.

It's difficult to find meaning in life when you aren't creating any so don't wonder why you feel you're life at times may seem insignificant.

  17. Who cares?  Focus on his policies!  If he preaches the same divisive ideals, then we have something to be worried.

Otherwise, it's some crazy old reverend speaking his mind.  Would you want to be judged based on what people that you've ever been affiliated with have said?  Moreover, would that be accurate?

  18. In the same way that McCain rationalizes his membership in a church that has been responsible for the deaths of millions over the last 2000 years.  There is no difference.
