  1. He broke him in the 8th game of the 5th set and won the next game on serve. That's how he did it.

  2. Rafa probably is a bit stronger mentally than Federer over all. Federer has definitely more options than Rafa. And Roger had a lot more winning points dur' the whole match. But Rafa's was fewer. And Rafa has induced Roger to make more unforced errors.

When the push comes to shove Rafa even w/ his injured Rt. knee knows how to convert the game to his advantage. He only had 2 more games than Federer on the 5th set.

  3. Not taking anything away from Rafa (he really deserved that win), but I think Roger had the record on his mind and he choked in the first two sets.  His game was very up and down, he was either smashing the points or making silly mistakes and giving them away.  I give him a lot of credit for getting his mind back in the game like he did in the 3rd and 4th sets.  It was a shame he didn't take it out, but no one can afford to make all those unforced errors against Rafa - he's an amazing player too.

  4. 1. Nadal's serve was incredible

    2. Nadal played great from the start

    3. Nadal is (a bit) younger, faster, and stronger than Federer now :(

Nadal probably deserved to win, but I was rooting for Federer...you could tell he tried so hard b/c at the end of the match, McEnroe interviewed him, and Fed said "it hurts"...then, McEnroe let him go b/c he saw Roger's tears...a first! He thanked him for a wonderful match (which it was!). Possibly THE BEST!!

  5. More determination and Nadal converted a little better on break points than Roger.

I still believe Roger is better than Nadal on Grass but Nadal proved that stamina is a key part in winning wimbledon.

Rafa also had the upper hand as he had a 2-0 lead but it was demolished.

Allso the 2nd rain delay help him cool off and get his game better.

Im a Federer fan and still am proud to be unlike some BandWagoners.

  6. federer choked. sad but it happens.

  7. nadal muscles did the trick

  8. He held his nerve and he also has a better return of serve than Roger does.

  9. Honestly, Rafa had him beat before they even walked out onto the court. Rafa has been revved for this since he barely lost last year - it was a sure thing coming.  Rafa has a lot of heart (which he certainly exhibited on Sunday) and I believe he will extend it to all surfaces. Next he will set his sights on improving his hard court game and I fully believe before he retires he will have won all 4 slams.

  10. rafa should his all court play, great court coverage and sharp angle shot selection..

he also used the pressure of the occasion agains't federer, and rafa showed his maturity when his match points were converted into set points by federer...

nadal just kept on playing his game... he came up better on the big points....

i like them both.. and i think nadal deserved to win it

  11. Nadal is by far one of the greatest endurance players to ever play the game.  The guy NEVER gets tired.  Federer just became tired and started making errors.

Also Rafa's left handed play with sharp angles and heavy top-spin is hard to play against.

  12. Federer is too old, he cannot get that many balls back anymore and he is too slow... Federer is also messing up on big points, before, Federer was good because he played extraordinary well on the big points, now he just cannot keep that up(like all the break point chances)

  13. Rafa made fewer unforced errors and came up with the goods when Roger had the chance to break his serve. I think Federer only won 1 of 13 break points and that is really where he should have been more clinical.

  14. By his amazing play..

  15. the courts were slowed down and that helped rafa. really unfair to roger. but roger will kick rafa's butt next time
