  1. With my first (my son) i noticed my hand just kinda sitting on my stomache all the time, it may sound weird but I just knew it, it took 6 weeks to get a positive test, but somehow I just knew.

With my daughter, I knew, but at the same time, I wasn't sure. I took a test after being a day late and it came out positive!

  2. I hope I get voted best answer! lol

My cylces are irregular so I never knew when to suspect anything. We were just letting it happen.

My husband and I had just bought our first house and were getting everything all packed up to move. We were watching an episode of Little House on the Prairie, there was a character named Jonathan, he was a big part of the show. Well this was very late August, we signed on the house on the 4th of September.

On September 21st, it had been a few months since I had a period, I took a test and I was pregnant!  I barely had any symptoms, it was all smooth sailing. I didn't show untill I was about 7 months along. A lot of people didn't even believe I was pregnant... lol

Turns out, it was a boy.. coincidentally enough, we named him Jonathan =)   I calculated later that I would have been about 2 weeks pregnant when we watched that episode, It was great.

He was born May 30th 2006.  Hope you liked my story!

  3. Well for me, I kept having dreams of being pregnant, and I felt 'funny' not a bad funny, a good funny. I felt really excited  and happy and energetic at first, and 4 days before my missed period I took a test because I was feeling so fantastic and usually before my period I feel horrible and miserable, moody, crampy, bloated etc. it came back positive! It was exciting :-D

My husband and I weren't 'trying' for a baby but we weren't not trying either, so it was a pleasant surprise :-D

We don't know the gender yet, we are hoping that they MIGHT be able to tell on Friday at our ultrasound (15 week ultrasound).

Oh yeah - and the happy, energetic, full of life feeling went away around 7/8 weeks when I started getting "morning sickness" and exhaustion haha.

  4. At first, I really didn't think I was pregnant. My husband and I decided not to try to get pregnant, but we weren't going to use any contraceptives to prevent it - so if it happened, it happened. We were happy either way. Anywho, I noticed that my b***s got kind of hard - like, muscular feeling. I had my annual exam and my doctor didn't say anything about it, so I didn't think too much of it but it was still weird to me. I kept telling my husband to poke my boob because it felt weird. Then I started having to pee, alot! I am a very heavy sleeper, and it got to the point that I was getting up to pee - that was odd to me. I kind of got a bit suspicious, and started tracking my temps in the morning (which I know was pointless, but I had a chart from a month or so before that I compared them to). I noticed that my temps were elevated compared to the same time on the previous charts. I blew that off too, I was just totally convinced I wasn't pregnant. Then, I started feeling like my period was coming - there was no doubt in my mind it was coming on time like always. Boy was I wrong! It didn't come the day it was due or the next day - so I said s***w it, I'll take a test...and I'll be darned  I didn't get a positive on the very first test. I didn't get many other symptoms until I was 8 weeks, and then I had severe morning sickness and I broke out miserably all over my face and some on my chest. Which is funny, because the old wive's tale says that if you break out you're having a girl and I found out at 21 weeks that I'm having a baby girl. The morning sickness pretty much completely subsided at 11 weeks after losing 10lbs, and I've had a great pregnancy since then. And, I'm due November 24th. I guess that is the extent of my pregnancy story, thus far :)

  5. I recently found out about my pregnancy, I am 6 weeks along today.  Praise be to God!

I was expecting my period on Friday 08/08/08.  But it didn't come.  Over the weekend, I felt very tired, experienced some dizziness, and just a bit nauseous.  So I decided to take a home pregnancy test.  My husband and I have been trying for our 1st baby for about six months, and I was getting tired of seeing the negative results.  But alo and behold, it was a very definite positive!  I was so excited I immediately took a couple more tests just to be sure, and it was also positive.  On Monday the 11th, I made an appointment with my doctor, and through a lab tests, I was confirmed pregnant!

  6. I had no symptoms at all really my first trimester. I for some reason just had this feeling I was pregnant - in fact, I did have PMS symptoms (which I guess I could count as symptoms of pregnancy) and something told me I should take a test. I thought it was silly because I was 5 to 6 days away from my period. So, I ran out and got the test, took it and there was a FAINT positive, so faint my husband didn't believe me. I took one the next day and it was a lot darker and then he believed me - lol.

Anyway, I never got really any symptoms until 7 weeks and then I had killer fatigue but everything went away by like 10 or 11 weeks.

I saw the baby at 8w4d and the heartbeat was 186 - I was so convinced I was having a girl - I still was because the heartbeat up until the anatomy ultrasound was never below 142 and then I found out at 18w4d it was a boy!

  7. I had never been pregnant before, but I just KNEW. I was 19 years old. My periods were never regular so I never kept track of it. I usually got cramps the day before my period, but when I had them for a week straight and my b*****s were sore, I decided to to take a test. I had my best friend, a guy, to go with me to buy the test. I didnt tell my boyfriend at the time when I was getting them, but I did inform him that I thought I was pregnant. My best friend picked out the pregnancy test, and claimed I was too young to be doing it. lol. When we went to pay at the register, he handed it to the cashier while I stood back and tried not to be embarrassed and he proclaimed loudly to the cashier, "Now we're gonna find out if my mom is pregnant or not." I was utterly embarassed.

I was small throughout my whole pregnancy and gave birth a month early to a 5 lb. 5 oz. girl.

  8.   this may sound funny i first thought i was pregnant was when my soon to be husband walked past me with a beer which i never had a problem with the smell before but as soon as i got a wiff of it i stared feeling really ill so i layed down for a little while after a couple hours i felt fine....a couple of days went bye and i had flu like symtoms that when i knew i had to take a pregnancy test......dont believe when they say morning sickness i was sick morning noon and night..lol...

  9. I knew with my first two pregnancies because I could actually feel the difference. I had fertility treatment, so I was well aware of the timing of ovulation/implantation. With my first it was nausea really early on, with my second I could tell from the feelings that I not only conceived but, that there was more than one baby (it was twins). However, my current pregnancy was a surprise for us. I basically found out when I went to the emergency room thinking I had an intestinal bug after vomiting for two days straight. Needless to say the first thing they asked me is if I might be pregnant, to which I responded it wasn't probable but, not impossible. Quickly found out I was indeed pregnant with what is number 4 for us. Stunned but, happy and wondering where this one's going to sleep.

  10. with my first [5 year old girl] i thought  iwas dying of the super flu i was so sick i didnt relize i was pregnanttill my period didnt show up with my second [6 mnth old son] i just felt weird stressed worried ancsius    i didnt relize i was  pregnant for two months it was totally different my two pregnancys were like night and day

  11. I am on my third pregnancy...no children yet though!.  With the first pregnancy I didn't realise until my period was late.  With both the second and this one I just knew.  Not sure how because I have really bad periods with sore b***s, nausea, loss of appetite etc etc.  If you think you are but aren't quite due your period then take a test, they are sensitive to about a week before I think!  Good luck x  Oh...thinking about it the first real give away is the change in appearance to my b***s..they get really veiny as well as just sore!......Also, I'm a bit of a night owl and love a glass or three of wine (not at the mo obviously), it should have smacked me in the face when I kept falling to sleep at 2130 hrs half way down my first glass lol

  12. well when my sisters were they were just really mean to me.  other than that i don't have a clue i cant have baby's I'm a Male. But one day i hope to have a wonderfulul family

  13. I actually didn't think I was because I was cramping like I was gonna get my period, but then I started feeling sick and still didn't occur to me, until I realized I was a week late

  14. I just barely found out I was pregnant.  It's my first.  I had all the regular symptoms, but I get those symptoms with AF, so I didn't think to much about it until AF didn't come.  I had some cramping, nausea (not too bad), I was dreaming (which I only do when AF is here), sleepy, occasional headache.  I didn't test until yesterday (I'm almost 6 weeks along) because I kept thinking to myself that I was pregnant, but I've had too many BFN's, so I didn't want another one.  So I just thought "No, I'm getting cramps and stuff, AF will be here in a couple of days."  Well, after three people told me that I ought to test I finally did.  And I am!  It's kind of a crazy feeling because even though I do feel like I am pregnant (and have felt that I was since the first day that I missed my period) I also can't believe that it's finally true.  It's amazing, and I'm sure when it becomes more real and I'm farther along it will become even more amazing.  I know it's not much of a story because I'm not very far along and it's only my first, but I think it's really cool!

  15. mmm.. I knew i was pregnant even before i missed my period. My period was supposed to come on or around April 14th & i just "felt"different so i told my bf to lets go get a home pregnancy test at CVS :) So we got the e.p.t test and they both came out positive, the second line was very faint but i was there, we still were in doubt though because the instructions say that it is more effective 5 days before your missed period and in my case it was 7 days.So exactly on April 14th i went to a walk in clinic to take a urine test and it was positive also!  Other than the positive tests all i felt was tender b*****s and i was so tired all the time. I wanted to be pregnant and was expecting to be since December but every month my period even came late sometimes but i guess it was because of the stress of wanting to be pregnant. Now i'm 22 weeks and 5 days pregnant w/ my first (IT'S A GIRL!) and very happy! Back pain is killing me though lol I didnt experience morning sickness until about my second & third month and it's all over with now... i am comfortably pregnant right now but other girls tell me the worst is yet to come but that it's all worth it. I am looking forward to it :)

  16. this is interesting!!! Im going to read the answers as well!! haha! I havent been pregnant yet, but I have had some symtoms lately. Not sure though because my cycle is all screwed up!

  17. I wasn't convinced that I was pregnant, but I was sleepy all the time and cried over stupid movies. My friend and my mom were the ones who knew I was. When my period didn't come, that's when I flipped out and took a test and sure enough I was! Shortly after finding out, the morning sickness and everything began. Definitely not fun. Now, I am almost 38 weeks pregnant and expecting this boy to come out any day now!

  18. I actually had implantation spotting, which I mistook for a period "trying" to show because I had pms related symptoms: breast tenderness, leg cramps, excessive fatigue...but my husband felt differently. He insisted on taking an hpt, but I told him I wanted to wait until after my period officially came on...I took it 3 days before my period was scheduled to show, and it revealed a light pink line for positive! I still didn't believe, and took it after my period didn't show, and it revealed a tinge darker pink line! We were thrilled! I've experienced no morning sickness, but the 1st trimester was the worse for me, so far.

I wish you the best, sugar!

  19. I never really got too sick, my abdomen started to feel softer.  My b***s got a little bigger, I had that funny "feeling".  I went to the store bought a pregnancy test and took it.  It was positive.  So I went and bought 2 more in a pack and they were too!

  20. Honestly, I didn't know I was pregnant. I didn't get that "feeling" I was pregnant. I was 4 weeks late with my period and didn't think anything of it because I'm usually late. I only had cramping so I thought my period was on its way. After 4 weeks of it not coming, I took the test and it came up positive. Around 8 weeks or so was when I started feeling crappy (morning sickness, fatigue, moody). I went to the dr. and they confirmed my pregnancy and told me I am due 11/26 (which felt like forever way back in March but it's only 3 short months away). The morning sickness went away by week 12 and I've just been tired. I'm currently 26 weeks and I love feeling my little peanut move around in there, truly an amazing feeling. We're not finding out the s*x which is driving my parents and in-laws insane but it's our decision. Thanks for asking such a nice question, hope you enjoyed my little story. If you are trying then Good Luck!!! :-)

  21. I was kinda expecting to be pregnant because i came off the pill and my partner and i were trying.  I noticed on a night out for the Rugby and my back was just agony.  I wasn't sure if it was pregnancy or just cos i was in heels for hours.  I dismissed it.  I took a test at the end of the month and it was a very very faint positive.  Took another the next day and the line was stronger and then stronger again the day after.  I called my mum before my partner crying with the sudden realisation and thinking "oh my what am i gonna do" even though it was planned.  After I had calmed down and the shock gone as we caught within literally 3 weeks of coming off the pill I told my partner and we were so so happy.  Although he wouldnt believe it until we went to the doctors and she confirmed it for me with an over the counter pregnancy test i took with me just for the expert opinion.  Even though it was a strong positive i was worried that maybe we were doing something wrong and it was too good to be true.  Now we are expecting a baby girl in november and he believes it more than ever with a huge bump and costant kicks when he touches my bump.

  22. I knew I was pregnant when i had cravings for things that i didn't even like. I got pregnant the second time i had s*x, so of course, when i was late i was freaking out. I started getting morning sick and pale, and I was afraid to tell him, because i thought he would be angry. I started gaining weight, and i decided to tell him when i was six weeks along. I was nervous more than anything. I remember he would lay his head down on my stomach (which just looked like i was bloated), or if that wasn't possible, he would just put his hand on my stomach. All the time.

I lost my baby at 12 weeks, but for awhile after that, he would still put his hand on my stomach. I'd actually be due in the next few days if i had been able to keep it.

  23. Well to be honest i was just a day late and on my way up to the chemist to buy a test with my mum i went behind some trees and checked to see if i had come on my period or not (this is the truth !) my mum said go look see because i had little pains which i thought were just cramps, got the test and it was positive and i was just a day late and it was bright blue, that was a sure sign of twins and i didn't know until my scan and it was !

Ten years ago now ..boy how time flys !

  24. well...here we go first pregnancy missed my period didnt really have any symtoms b4 to even think i was pregnant except..i kept having this bubbly sensation in my tummy...so went and got a test and postive....#2 well...morning sickness lasted for 3 months...eek was rough and a rough deliverly lol and can be so stubburn till this day lmao...#3 well..didnt miss period just had a spot of blood...so made me think hmmm maybe thats implantation could i be pregnant? so i wait 2 days go a test and was pregnant...was never sick with 1 or 3 but number 2 i was sick all the time...did get alot of headaches tho with number 3 in the beginning but really couldnt decide if that was pregnancy or my two boys driving me crazy lol

  25. It was my first month temping and my MIL was helping me. The day before AF my temp went sky high and she was like your pregnant. I blew it off. Next day AF didn't come. Following day 4pm took a test and postivie. Waited 3 hours tested again positive. Next day went to the pregnancy clinic and tested positive. I didn't have any symptoms. At 8 weeks morning sickness started and is now just ending so I have no symptoms.
