  1. Yes.  He introduced Helenism throughout the middle east.  Places like Israel was introduced to Greek society and the Hebrews converted to Helenistic ideas, so circumcisions stopped etc.  THe blending of these cultures brought about new ideas etc.

  2. Alexander adopted a lot of Persian customs and he encouraged (to put it politely) his officers to marry Persian wives.  The Seleucids - his successors in the Asian part of the Empire continued this, as did his successors in Egypt and Europe to a lesser extent.

    The resulting culture was a fusion of Macedonian and Persian traditions.  Even in Roman times the resulting Hellenistic culture was considered luxury loving and hedonistic - not attributes that would be applied to old Macedonian or Classical Greek society.

  3. Trigumma....You seem like misunderstanding the concept of Hellenism

    Hellenism is

    Greek Culture incluenced by Asian Culture(in this case, Persians)

    It was not one-way of introducing Greek culture into Asia

    It was mixture of two different culture and civilization

    Unlike many modern Whie people misunderstand,

    Persian culture was developed and advanced as much as Greek was

    <Possibly even more>
