  2. As the whale evolved so did the blubber.

Fat cells makes good insulation because they require very little circulation.  Blood flowing is very good at transferring heat.  Since fat is a non polar organic compound, it doesn't conduct heat very well.  Both these properties make it an ideal insulator.  The reason it is favored over fur is because fur needs air pockets in water to make the most ideal insulation.  That is difficult for marine mammals to maintain so larger animals tend to lose the fur in favor of blubber.  Some like polar bears use both.   Blubber is not a hindrance because it tends to make an animal in water more streamlined.  On land it would likely make them ponderous.

  4. when my ex-wife went from eating one taco to eating a half  a dozen of those big and greasy burritos her blubber evolved into an uncontrollable mass of flesh poor thing she got so big she jumped up in the air and got stuck.
