How did cereal change modern society?

I've heard that the cultivation of cereal was "responsible for spawning the Disney empire, boosting Frank Sinatra's libido, and paying for Buck Rogers' spaceship." I can't seem to find an article on it though. Please help!!

It wasn't so much the cereal, it was the advertising. Go to Wikipedia.org and look up "Tony the Tiger", "Count Chocula", "Bozo the clown", "Snap, Crackle and Pop" and so on. Wikipedia has everything.
