  1. My whole life change I had to learn to love all my children the same but different because each one were different in personality,  I had to realize that michelle the oldest wasn't always to blame. I learned that stay home and playing with my girls were more important then me going out.  My whole life change I was only responsible for me then there was 4 more. and all by myself I had to learn to juggle. tobuy for them and not for me.  so it wasn't all about me it was about them

  2. Life has a greater meaning.  I just can't put it into words, but another parent would understand.

You see the world through your child's eyes.  You see what is really important in life.  You live for them as opposed to yourself.

  3. my life changed for the better.  i would be a sad, empty person if i weren't a parent.  every day i am honored and humbled to be the mother of my wonderful son.

  4. Children make you more self-aware. Nothing is as important as taking care of your little people. There is an old story that my mother-in-law once told me, and I think it's great:

Two neighbor women were talking in a park. One women was continually interrupted by her 4-year-old daughter, who kept pointing out little things she'd find in the yard: a clover leaf, a rock, a bug, etc. Finally, annoyed, the neighbor asked the woman "Why do you always let her interrupt you when you're speaking to an adult? Doesn't she know you need to have grown-up speak once in a while?"

The mother thought for a moment, smiled, and then replied: "I let her interrupt me because I figure I brought her into this world, and she has a right to show it to me."

I love that story, and that is completely how I feel about my children. You forget that innocence as an adult, so it's nice to see it again in the eyes of your own kids.

  5. You know, you arrive home with this screaming bundle of 'joy', and within hours, the house has been cluttered with something of this baby's in every room in the house?

The washing machine, the bathroom the kitchen the living room and the bedroom, besides what is waiting to be dried outside?

ALL over and everywhere something belongs to the tiniest person in the household?

  6. So far, my life changed completely. I used to get done a lot and volunteer for church and public library. Now I'm lucky, if baby sleeps long enough for me to clean the chicken coop and empty the dishwasher. - But on the other I'm happier than ever.

  7. Made me curb my excesses and start behaving like a responsible adult at last - made me aware of how little money I had and how little I'd achieved as a "career woman" - reminded me of everything I'd forgotten about the horrors of being a child

  8. Geez....where do I begin?!?  Of course there are the typical answers like lack of sleep and being so busy that you are lucky if you get a shower on a daily basis.  I think it is hard not being able to just run out of the house whenever you want.  You have to make sure the baby is changed and fed...oh, she just spit up...gotta change her again...grab the diaper bag and make sure it is properly supplied, etc., etc.  It takes hours just to get my daughter and I ready and out the door.

Also, if you're invited somewhere you have to think about things like--is baby teething and going to be fussy, how am I going to nurse, is baby going to be able to nap there, etc.

Everything gets pushed on the back burner....laundry, housekeeping, your marriage (because you're both sooo tired and never have time...LOL).

No money...between gas prices and grocery prices going up AND adding diapers, wipes, etc. to the weekly list, we don't have much extra money at the end of the month.  But that's okay...it's not like we have the time to go anywhere and spend it now anyways.

  9. It made me the happiest person alive, but also the most tired.  I love being a mommy and I wouldn't give it up for anything in the world.
