Many people say that at the time of 60,000 BP, humans migrated out of Africa, then to the middle east, and europe and arrived in Austrlia. But how is it possible? Many think that it was all ice and they could have walked over, but that is not the case as Australia was separated from the nearest landmass by 62 miles.

  1. Some Anthropologist think that during the Ice Age, ocean water was much lower.  The thinking is that they built some kind of reed boats and floated over from India.  They think India because there is a dog in australia that is closely related, if not the same, as one in India.

  2. I learned that humans first migrated to australia around 40,000 BC.

I think they may have had very very primitive rafts and they could have went from island to island in indonesia, and gone to other very small islands that may have been there 40,000 years ago

  3. No anthropologist suggests that they walked there.  They would've had to use boats.  This seems incredible, but much of Oceania was populated that way as well.

  4. I imagine they used boats. Moreover, sea levels were lower 60,000 years ago. There could have been islands on the way back then that are submerged now.
