i am in a 12 team league...The top 10 went LT,AP,Westbrook, Addai, Jackson, Brady, Barber, Johnson, Grant...then i took Moss....with the 10th pick i knew i was in trouble with RB....with my horrible running backs, do i still stand a chance???

what do you give me frm a 1-10, 10 being best....and should i have taken s.holmes instead of marshall??

1.(10) Randy Moss WR

2. (15) Terrell Owens WR

3. (34) Peyton Manning QB

4. (39) Brandon Marshall WR

5. (58) Antonio Gates TE

6. (63) Jamal Lewis RB

7. (82) Darren McFadden RB

8. (87) Jonathan Stewart RB

9. (106) Selvin Young RB

10. (111) Jericho Cotchery WR

11. (130) DeAngelo Williams RB

12. (135) Sidney Rice WR

13. (154) Jerious Norwood RB

14. (159) Stephen Gostkowski K

15. (178) Steelers Defense

16. (183) Ray Rice RB

i figured since i had no TRUE RB, i would grab many of them to see who could be a good running back....maybe one will break out

  1. great draft.  RB: McFadden will breakout in about his 2nd year.

  2. you have one good RB (McFadden) try trading Manning(Knee surgery) for a good QB(Armstrong) and another RB

I like your strategy for not getting a RB.It could either win you the season or hurt you badly. But atleast other teams wont have great depth at RB maybe one great RB and a decent one but you'll have 2good ones

  3. pretty good draft i dont think its the best team but i havnt seen the rest of em. you should finish prettty good at least 3rd. you have no cept macfadden and he might break out but other than that youll get your points from moss and manning u better hope manning isnt too hurt i saw on espnnews yest he hurt his knee out 4-6 weeks but ..

  4. Jamal Lewis went 63!?!?  No way.  I think he's a top-15 pick.  I could see him dropping to 25 in a league of young people, or maybe 30 in a PPR league, but 63?  That's crazy.  ESPN has him ranked #19.  ADP is 22.

That said, good draft.  You say you're crappy at RB but you're really not.  You had a good strategy - put chips down on as many players as possible.  With rookies like McFadden and Stewart you are bound to have at least one top-25 RB besides Lewis.  And Lewis will definitely have a solid year.

  5. i like ur comeback after not getting a RB in round 1. good job.i would take holmes and not marshall but they're about the same anyway so dont worry about it. great choice PIT DEF!!! nice.

    IMPORTANT:

if i were u i trade away payton manning- NOW! he had minor knee surgery and anyway his career is on its way down. this is the point where u'll get the most outta him. try a guy like derek anderson and a RB for manning

  6. I like your draft at WR cuz u got alot of them and a lot of good ones but your very weak at Rb so i would start J. Lewis and try to combine like Marshall and Cotchery and try to young too for a Wr3 and a Rb2 and yea u should have taken S. Holmes instand of Marshall but ur only weak spot is Rbs so u did pretty well i'll give ur draft a 8.5 since ur in a 12 owner league too

  7. Wow.  I think you did an excellent job.  The other owners must have been asleep at the wheel because this is the first time I've seen Manning not go in the 2nd round and Jamal Lewis not gone by at least the 3rd.  Darren McFadden lasted until the 7th and Stewart until the 8th?  This is ridiculous value.  I think your RBs are actually pretty good, so much so that I cringe on your reaches for guys like Norwood and Rice when you really didn't need them IMO.

I think you did very well choosing Moss, but I wonder why you passed on Frank Gore, Marshawn Lynch and Clinton Portis?  Were any still available when you chose Owens?

Overall I'd give this draft a 10 because you really have good players at every position.  I think taking Marshall over Holmes was the smart move.
