  1. I partly correct previous answer.

It's correct to say "repubblica Italiana" is not a nickname but

I disagree that "the boot" (lo stivale) is the only one nickname Italy has. Italy is also known as "il bel Paese"  (the beautiful Country) !!

  2. Ok..Martox, we must stop meeting like this, I'm always a step behind you:).  But I definitely agree with your answer, thumbs up to you.  And thanks also for correcting the spelling.

  3. Is a republic....as we havent got a king or queen....and the right spelling is Repubblica...and not Italina but Italiana.....

by the way the letter K doesn t exist in italian alphabet

  4. You mean "Republica Italiana"?   That's just the Italian translation of "Italian Republic".  Very simple.  :-))

The only nickname of Italy  that I know is:  "the boot", because of it's shape.

And indeed, Italy is a very beautiful country!

  5. Too many words....I think that "BELLA ITALIA" it's enough.

  6. Belpaese "Beautiful country" or sometimes people don't like Italy "Banana republic".
