Question:

How did lizards suddenly get in the house?

We've lived in this house for 10 years --for the 1st time last week, we had a lizard, maybe a baby. We caught it and put it outside. We've had 3 more since, and they all appear in approximately the same place, but I cannot find any evidence of where they are coming from. How can we figure out how they are suddenly getting in and how can we put an end to this?

  1. We used to see the little lizards in the rockery in the back yard.  They live in dark, damp places. Who knows, maybe they even came in through your plumbing.  A week or so ago, a lady found a huge snake, a python, I believe, in her washing machine!

I wish I had some little lizards.  Perhaps you could bring them here for my back yard.

  2. I have a lot of those little lizards around my yard in rocky areas.   Yesterday a baby one came right in the front door when I opened it.  If I hadnt looked down I wouldnt have seen it.   It depends on where you are seeing them.   I saw a tiny garden snake come out from under my baseboard in living room once, he came up from underneath house and just came right in under the drywall.   I have since sealed this area and have no other issues.  But basically, they can come in anywhere there is even the slightest crack or gap.  If you are seeing them in the same area I would focus on finding a gap, even a tiny one where they are coming into house.
