  1. agriculture never "started" it was just a way of living. in planting, cultivating, and picking plants, you mean? humans were hunters & gatherers. they found food that was growing and picked it.

    Agriculture was well established mode of life among most nations within the Americas. The exception would be those nations on the plains where it was easy to live on buffalo, the tropical rain forests. and in the inhospitable north country.
