  1. it should have been a 70 unless the questions were worth diffrent points and you missed the big ones and the extra credit is worth 8 and u got 14 right so i am guessing that is what the 8/14 means and then 57 +8 = 65 which is your grade

  2. She graded it right if there were only fourteen questions.  So, double check to make sure you are right in thinking there were 20, then check with her.  It could be that you misremembered and there were really only 14 questions, that she misremembered and thought there were 14 instead of 20, or that six of the 20 questions got thrown out for some reason.  But this is definitely something you should talk about with her.  Mistakes do happen, and they can only be resolved if you talk about it.

    Good luck!

  3. grade = number correct / number of questions

(This is not counting the bonus and only if all the questions are of equal value - are they? Maybe some "sub -questions" [3a, 3b, etc.] are worth less...)

Otherwise, I think she subtracted the number you got incorrect from the bottom of the fraction, giving her the wrong answer & giving you the wrong grade...

If there are 20 equally valued questions, your normal score is 14/20 or 70% and (depending on how she counts the extra credit) with the 8, your grade should be  78%.

Teachers have a lot of grading to do, so call it to her attention politely and see if the questions were weighted. If not, hopefully she'll be reasonable about her mistake & fix your grade...
