  1. Because it allows people to have spiritual convictions, but also accept the physical reality of our worldly existence.


  2. Over time ideas are generally taken in and parts accepted. When these areaccepted they become the new idea. Eventually whatever religion you are will have only one thing in common and that is there highest and most powerful componant and for many this is their deities. with the advent of new religion almost weekly the underlying principles get left behind for the martyrdom af fighting for the highest power.
